Little Ghost

My eyes open to a soothing atmosphere, filled with the sounds of the night. The orderly room reveals mysterious objects under the moon’s glow. An open window unveils an infinite cosmopolitan city from a dizzying height. The desk, adorned with a blank bill, a pencil, and a book with an intriguing title, “Look! But not with your eyes,” captivates my mind. Multicolored plants, enigmatic frames on the wall—everything seems bewildering in this nocturnal ambiance.

Walking the streets, I feel profound solitude among diverse faces. Bustling boulevards, sparkling lights. A peculiar encounter with a smoking man turns into a burst of bewildering laughter. A benevolent woman, witnessing the scene, also bursts into laughter. Vexed, I continue my journey, questioning the nature of this world where time seems to play tricks on us. Stopped in front of the “JJM” bar, I’m about to enter a place laden with mysteries.

The bar entrance reveals a long corridor of artworks, a painting titled “A present from a distant future” raises questions about historical chronology. At the main bar, a carefree atmosphere prevails. My desire to talk and have fun clashes with the strangeness of people’s reactions. An old man predicts that I might disconnect and become a “little ghost.” Ignoring his words, I feel a surge of adrenaline and decide to step outside.

Outside, a heavy silence settles. Walking alone, a profound sense of loneliness and despair takes over. Aversion to the surroundings grows, and an existential crisis sets in. Dark thoughts assail me, and a lingering question remains: am I sinking into depression, or is this strange place adapting to my tormented thoughts, pushing me to the edge of disappearance?
