I wake up slowly, my eyes opening with difficulty. Where am I? Trapped in this strange substance, neither liquid, nor digital, nor organic. The blue around me is soft, soothing, like an infinite backdrop. Sometimes, glimpses of light dart through electrical cables. I can’t move, but I can contemplate this landscape that seems both liquid and digital. An astonishing fusion.
Animals? Life here? It seems likely. I try to move, to interact with this environment. I have the intuition that without speaking, I can communicate through thought. How long have I been stuck here? And since when? Who am I? Why am I here? Questions swirl, but I remain still, absorbed by the strange beauty of this place.
I notice a kind of machine in the distance, where all the light passes through. The engine? The light, so beautiful, seems to want to touch me. What if I could influence this universe simply through thought? I gaze intensely at this light, trying to divert it towards me. Suddenly, an electric shock runs through my body, but it’s not painful. It’s like a release.
I fly, I swim, I don’t know, but I can move freely now. Enchanted by the beauty, I wonder: what is this place called? A soft, feminine voice answers, “It’s called Digital Water.” Surprised, I turn around… Beautiful and mysterious, she enjoys observing newcomers. “My name is Terra,” she says.
My questions pour out. Time here is random, the origin unknown. Incredible natural events occur. Terra mentions theories and stories. But something makes me laugh. “Events?” I ask. “Look over there,” she says, pointing to the Digital Water machine. “And how can you breathe underwater?”
The world I thought was impossible unfolds. Terra talks about connection points, where everyone arrives without memories of the past. She leaves, but before she goes, she advises me to forget our meeting. She says encounters are rare.
